风云 (Storm Riders/Warriors depending on the translation)
A Hong Kong comic/game/movie franchise apparently. I know zilch and had to google it up. KEY's apparently a fan. Another duo performance, this time with Daqiang (Gintoki, Gintama 2011; Sanji, One Piece 2010; dance choreographer & writer) and bboy KEY.

Hunter x Hunter
GDCrew entire cast performance. So far one of the contenders for what's likely to go on and compete at regionals and onward. This has apparently been a brainchild of DQ and Lie's for a while now. Qianglie did a duo performance together as Hisoka and Chrollo last year.

One Piece: Two Years Later
Not sure if that's the actual title or the working title, but the team leaders have confirmed that yes, they are bringing back One Piece with as much of the original 2010 cast as possible. They will perform it at cons but they will NOT take this to competitions. The way DQ and Lie talked about it seemed to make it sound like a rehash, but I'm hoping they will take it one step further even if they don't plan to compete because they have so many new talented cosplayers now.

Daomu
A wildly popular web serial in China. There are zombies apparently. I know very little else. GDCrew entire cast performance and the other contender for regionals aside from HxH. Qianglie cosplayed the main characters for funsies last December.

So that's what the team leaders announced during a webcast this week. Detective Conan is definitely scrapped. They haven't decided on any dates or venues yet for these 5 skits, which all seem to be in the writing stages.

For the record, jin can be translated to "scarf", "turban", "towel", and "napkin". Along with other things I am not aware of, I'm sure.

Also

This is my new ukulele (it's the one without fur). It has been mistaken for a violin and a badminton racket (in its case). I have had it for exactly one week as of tonight. I can play most things in the key of C now.

In other news, the small brother person arrived in Taizhou today and we went on a 3 hour walk in which we saw Appa (in the clouds) and Phoenix Wright (sitting on the grass talking on his cell).

ETA. Looking through old black and white family photos... when Mom was a kid she looked startlingly like stella8h8chang.

*baibai de means literally "white, white [possessive article]" and acts as an adjective to describe whiteness and emptiness. I chose to interpret it as the figure of speech that conveys futility.
**shangkou refers to the opening of a wound and probably translates closer to "cut" seeing as shang itself is "wound", but in English, "cut" carries such strong implications as a verb that I felt more secure going with "wound" throughout the song.
