Gintama anime coming back for a 6th season in October! And an original movie written by Sorachi slated for 2013! (I'm guessing in the summer?) I like how skeptical? jaded? troll-savvy? the fandom has become; the reaction was basically, that's lovely news and all, but we'll believe you when we have the new episodes streaming in front of us.

There definitely hasn't been much more new manga material since season 5. They might manage one more season out of it if they rationed and padded and stretched, but definitely not two consecutive seasons. Not unless they decide to animate the 3Z AU, which, personally, I would be camped out on the Sunrise Studio parking lot demonstrating for if I were in Japan.

mousse's Korra posters still haven't arrived... I'm worried and beginning to think they got lost in the mail or maybe have been returned to sender. orz

G.D. who?



A dance crew turned competitive cosplay team without leaving their dancing roots. Still fairly new on the scene, GDCrew's first notably big production was a One Piece skit in 2010 (pictured above, returning cosplayers labeled — to the best of my ability — with their Gintama roles).

This year, GDCrew decided on a Gintama production. And forgive my extremely biased opinion, but that was like the best decision of the year, period. For the subtitled video and HD video download, refer to my earlier post.

ETA 2012-02-26. There were at one point over 80 photos in this post, counting the requests in the comments. But I recently emptied out my livejournal and downgraded to a basic account, subsequently losing my scrapbook and everything in it. Yes, I am an idiot for hosting anything on LJ in the first place, I apologize.

For GDCrew pics, it's probably easier/faster to just hit up my #gdcrew tag on tumblr. And the youtube video (which, let's face it, is probably what led you here) has a pretty good, concise intro to gdcrew if not the individual members of the team. The members of gdcrew fluctuate from year to year anyway. If there are any specific cosplay photos you're curious to see or people you're curious about though, just ask.

As it stands, I've got hundreds and hundreds of GDCrew pics saved because I am a major creep. So if you've got any requests, feel free to ask because if it's out there, I've probably got it. I'm perfectly okay with uploading the pictures individually to tinypic (if you're only requesting a few) or in bulk to mediafire (I've zipped up and sent ppl hundreds of gdcrew photos before).
