At least, that's how a fellow musician described "Parting Lines" upon hearing me play the piano accompaniment for the first time. He was referring to the soundtracks, of course. xD
Back in 2005, I wrote a rhyming transliteration of the lyrics to "Hikari no Naka e" (Into the Light). A year later, I set a slightly modified version of those words to music. It's an original composition in both melody and rhythm, but for the musically-inclined who are interested in finding parallels, please refer to the original song - "Hikari no Naka e" as written by Yoko Kanno and performed by Maaya Sakamoto.
My voice is unsuited for singing in the range that I wrote in, and I get pitchy on the high notes. *grimaces* Well, here's the recording of me singing and accompanying myself on the piano.

Mm, I don't think so. It's a very non-melodic poem, makes me think of drums...
