Since Do As Infinity announced the winners of the melody-writing contest today (and, obviously, I didn't win), I'll go ahead and share my entry. The only people I think I shared it with were fellow composers pchaness and flying_piano and close friend artemis_elric before submitting it to the contest in March.

Better luck to myself next time. Phase 2 is this September. :]

I've always admired anyone that can play music. I did start to learn violin as a kid, but I hated my teacher so I gave hit up *clips younger self for being an idiot* These days I just sing badly.

That's such a pretty melody! I am sad that it didn't win, because it's a pleasure to listen to :] As mentioned above, it's their loss!

(and it shares a title with one of my favourite instrumental pieces... Path by Apocalyptica, I'm not sure if you're into heavier music but they're a kickass cello quartet!)

I think I may have heard of Apocalyptica before, but never actually heard their music. Wow, they're insane! ♥ I shall have to look into them more.
